More About Me
A Creative Mind
Born in a vibrant Los Angeles county suburb, Bailey Scherer has never been a stranger to life in the arts. Having danced and competed as a baton twirler at a young age, she soon developed an attraction to performance. As a twirler, she competed all over Southern California, as well as in Las Vegas, London, Hawaii, and the National Championships at Notre Dame. At the age of fifteen, a local summer circus camp drew her eye, and she never looked back.
While training at her home school, The Circus Studio in Claremont, California, Bailey dabbled in aerial fabric, lyra, static trapeze, sling, and cube. After learning of Dance Trapeze at a summer intensive in Las Vegas, she set her sights on her new primary discipline. In college, Bailey began coaching at The Circus Studio for introductory youth classes as well as the advanced youth performance troupe. Working with the young kids inspired her greatly and developing full-length productions along her co-producer soon became a regular part of Bailey’s artistic exploration.
By 2018, Bailey knew she wanted to dive deeper into circus arts, and in Spring of 2019 was accepted to study at the New England Center for Circus Arts. There, she majors in Baton Twirling with a minor in Dance Trapeze. In school she was known for her silliness and willingness to invent dance-cardio warmups to share with her friends, but her peers most often acknowledge her as a dedicated classmate and committed collaborator.
Following graduation, Bailey returned back to Los Angeles with her fiancé, and has performed with Troupe Vertigo as well as at VivaFest in Las Vegas and the San Diego Circus Festival. She can also been found sharing her love for all things trapeze at Cirque School Los Angeles!
From inviting audiences to join her on a post-apocalyptic journey of valiance and resilience, to bearing her soul in personal memoirs of love and friendship, Bailey’s performances never fail to capture her viewers. Thanks for checking her out!
